Health Disclaimer — Asidu

Effective date: 2026-09-20

Asidu is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.

Asidu is a self-tracking tool for nutrition, body weight, activity, and recovery data. Everything it shows you — energy expenditure, calorie and nutrient targets, weekly budget, weight trend, readiness indicators, and forecasts — is an estimate. These estimates are calculated from population-level formulas, third-party food databases, sensor data from your devices, and AI-based recognition. Each of these sources has known error margins, and for any individual the combined result can be significantly wrong.

What this means for you

Sources of uncertainty

Asidu tries to reduce these errors over time by calibrating against your weight trend, but it cannot eliminate them.

If you are struggling

If you notice preoccupation with food, weight, or body image, or if tracking is affecting your wellbeing, please stop using the App and contact a healthcare professional. In Switzerland, support is available through your family doctor or the Swiss Society for Eating Disorders (SGES). Elsewhere, contact local health services.

By using Asidu you acknowledge that you have read this disclaimer and that you use the App and act on its information at your own risk.
